After a short-term partnership of eighteen months, Mike Kelly left to open up a shop in Park Ridge that was much closer to home. This left Mike Casey as sole proprietor, and a staff of four which included his son Dan, who decided to follow in his father's footsteps. Then in 1974, at the age of thirteen, son David began working in the family trade as well. By 1989 the 3rd generation had begun with the addition of grandson Joe Lane.

In 2006 the decision was made to move from the original 9 E. Park Blvd. location. After a few locations were considered the 32 S. Villa Ave. location was chosen and the work began. Changing over a retail liquor store to work as a food venue was a daunting task but we were able to make the switch with only being closed for 2 days!!

Mike’s has spent the last 50 years dedicated to the community of Villa Park and their customers. Villa Park has been a home to the Mike’s family, and we are very fortunate for that. We have also had the pleasure of serving all of the people that have been dedicated shoppers with us for many years. We have seen several generations grow up and become long standing customers like their parents and grandparents before them, many of whom worked for us at one time too!
