Unique Housing Styles

Villa Park is a friendly village that has affordable homes ranging from small starter homes all the way up to large 4+ bedrooms perfect for the growing family. There are beautiful historic homes, including a significant collection of Sears Homes and Lustron houses going back prior to 1920. Of course, we also feature plenty of newer built homes from the 21st century with all the amenities many buyers desire.

The Garden Village, as it is known, is a wonderful place to live for a multitude of reasons. Villa Park is centrally located with easy access to expressways that will take you in all directions. It is approximately 20 miles to the city of Chicago that can be easily reached by car or train.

Additionally, Villa Park is home to some of the very best schools in the nation. Our high school, Willowbrook High School, has been consistently named as a top school in America in both Newsweek and The Washington Post. Our grade schools continue to receive high marks on IllinoisReportCard.com, a clearinghouse site of public school information.

Villa Park is rich in history, including a Museum where you can learn all about our Village’s storied past. There are miles of bike and walking paths, a scenic golf course to challenge all levels of players, and a multitude of parks and playgrounds to enjoy! Free community event, such as concerts at the Gazebo and Joyful Traditions are offered throughout the year and are a great way to socialize and get to know your neighbors. Simply stated, Villa Park is a great place to live!

Single Family Homes

When you walk along the tree-lined streets of Villa Park you will discover the beauty of our neighborhoods with their distinctive homes and lovely gardens. These single-family homes are well-built, attractive and architecturally diverse. A variety of architectural styles that are representative include American Craftsman and Four-Square, Arts & craft Bungalows, Chicago Bungalows, Colonial Revival, Dutch Colonial, English Tudor, Georgian, Queen Anne, and Sears Catalog, and Spanish Revival homes.

A mid-century building boom created several subdivisions in the north and south sections of the community that feature Bi-levels, Ranches, and Tri-levels models. Since 1990, many newer larger custom homes were built and significant additions were added to existing homes.

Rental Units

Ovaltine Courts provide trendy upscale apartments and retro-style lofts that were rehabbed from the former Ovaltine factory that had been established in 1917 and played an important role in Villa Park’s history and development. Other apartment rentals are located near the Metra Station and in the old historic downtown areas.

Condominium, Townhouse, and Duplex

Condominiums, townhouses and duplex units can be found in many Villa Park neighborhoods. Condos are located near the Villa Oaks Shopping Center in the south end of town. The Washington Condominiums, a creative use of a former elementary school, provides unique living opportunity for adults over 55 years old. Duplex units surround Metra Station.
