The Old Town Corridor

Villa Ave.
Old Town Villa Ave. also known as OTVA is a stretch of business along Villa Ave. from St. Charles Road on the north to Park Blvd. on the south. The businesses have pulled together and created an association that supports each other and provides cross marketing. This community organization holds various events throughout the year including Trick or Treat on Old Town Villa Avenue which culminates in a costume contest in Cortesi Veteran’s Memorial Park.
The area is most recently being referred to as Villa Park’s “down town.” The formerly sluggish area has been revitalized with the offering of a new TIF supported façade assistance program whereby twelve building owners have taken advantage of the financial assistance to improve the exterior of their buildings. In addition, the opening of a new craft brewery, More Brewing Company, has also added to the spark of redevelopment in the area attracting thousands of customers to their craft beer rollouts.

New businesses are getting ready to open including a taco restaurant, a french fry restaurant, a beverage center and an ice cream shop
This area is directly adjacent to the former Ovaltine factory. The abandoned factory was redeveloped into the thriving Ovaltine Court Apartment complex with 323 units. The units have contemporary style and historic charm.
