Library

Since opening its doors in 1928 with just 400 books, the Villa Park Public Library is located at 305 S. Ardmore Avenue and has grown from a tiny, one-room facility to encompass nearly 23,000 square feet in its current building. In late summer/early fall of 2019, a newly renovated and expanded library building will open. The mission of the Villa Park Public Library is to build, connect, and partner with our community to encourage exploration and discovery. The Library nurtures this growth through education, literacy, technology, and fun. The library offers adult, teen, and youth classes, outreach, and school services. Additionally, the library embraces the digital age of technology to include: e-books, digital reference and databases, web-based resources, Wi-Fi and wireless printing capabilities, a computer center, and digital media lab. Churches

In Villa Park’s 4 ½ square miles there are 17 churches ranging in age from one month to 100 plus years. The religious community has been a very important part of our history. The members have played a significant role in the development and growth of our community and of the faith community.

The members became leaders of Villa Park, they joined the service clubs, became members of the volunteer fire department, police department and commissions. At the same time they helped their congregations continue to grow and flourish and to welcome new religions, in the process adding to the diversity of Villa Park making it a perfect place to live, work and raise a family.
